What does Park & Ride mean? And what can I expect?

“Park & Ride” does what it says on the tin. It’s a secure, purpose-built car parking facility with a designated shuttle service. It allows you to park near a city centre, popular attraction or – as with I Can Park and Ride – Birmingham Airport, and ride to where you need to be. You can expect to save money, as the prices are considerably cheaper than standard parking rates in city centres and NCP car parks.

Not everyone lives in an area that’s linked to Birmingham airport by public transport. And those who do often don’t want the hassle of buses and trains. But they still need to get to the airport for their flight. Do I need to pre-book?

We always recommend pre-booking your Park and Ride space. It is the only way to secure a guaranteed space and only takes a couple of minutes. By pre-booking, you can also ensure the best price and have our reception team ready and waiting for your arrival.

How far ahead should I book?

We recommend booking your parking straight away once your travel dates have been confirmed. There’s really no downside to booking early, and you ensure you get the best price. With our Flexible booking option, you can even amend or cancel your booking at a later date. For this reason, a lot of our customers book their space up to a year in advance.

Where is I Can Park And Ride located?

Our secure car parking facility is located conveniently off the M6 motorway. You can find us using these directions.

Are there any restrictions for types of vehicles and sizes?

There isn’t a height restriction.

What happens when I arrive at the car park?

When you reach our car parking facility, you will see our check-in area and reception team. Simply hand over your keys and allow a member of our team to park your car for you. You can then relax as we transport you to Birmingham airport – and back to the car park upon your return. No hassle, no stress.

Do you have transport to the airport?

Our comfortable shuttle buses are included in the price you’re quoted for parking. They run regularly to and from the airport to ensure you arrive in plenty of time with no stress. That said, it’s best to arrive at the car park around 40 minutes before your airport check-in time.

Can I park my vehicle and not catch the shuttle?

Yes, of course. You can make your own travel arrangements if that’s more suitable for you.

What are the opening times?

We are open 24/7.

Will my car be safe?

Our car park is staffed around the clock, with regular security patrols throughout the day and night. It is fully equipped with CCTV, well-lit parking bays and high-security fencing so you can rest assured your car will be held securely.

What happens if I exceed my booking because of a delayed flight?

At I Can Park and Ride, we understand that unforeseen circumstances aren’t your fault. We will keep your vehicle safe and secure until you’re back. Any costs will be settled once you have returned.

Are pets allowed on the bus?

Dogs can be carried for free as long as they are kept on the owner’s lap or the floor of the bus. Any animal may be refused entry to the vehicle at the driver’s discretion.
